About the Project           
The Communications team seeks a short-term temporary (STT) consultant with strong graphic and photography skills. This assignment involves supporting the team to launch the CGAP’s 2012 Photo contest as well as supporting the implementation of CGAP’s Online Photo Repository. The STT consultant will work roughly 40 hours a week at CGAP. 

Scope of the work           
The Consultant, will be engaged in the following types of work, per agreement with the Task Manager (as defined below):
• Implementation of CGAP’s 2012 Photo Contest
• Implementation of an Online Photo Repository for CGAP
• Preparing and Migrating
•  Images for Website Redesign

Methodology and specific tasks          
The Consultant will perform the tasks enumerated below.  The CGAP Task Manager and other CGAP staff and consultants may participate in the review and guidance of the work, based on the specific requirements of each task assignment.

Implementation of CGAP’s 2012 Photo Contest
1. Support and Coordinate the implementation of the CGAP’s photo contest 2012 on a photo management platform
2. Develop and manage a database to track entries and participant details
3. Help market the photo contest through various social network channels such as Facebook and Twitter
4. Support the implementation of a new category for the CGAP Photo Contest such as the Youth category. This shall include the submission of photos via mobile and regular format

Implementation of an Online Photo Repository for CGAP
1. Cataloguing and organizing native photo files into two online repositories for digital videos and the Web
2. Labeling photos with appropriate filename, photographer, and date
3. Adding alt text and tags
4. Adding descriptive blurb
5. Ensuring appropriate copyright information is included with entry

Preparing and Migrating Images for Website Redesign
1. Resizing photo files and saving for web and other devices
2. Labeling photos with appropriate filename, photographer, and date
3. Adding alt text and tags
4. Adding descriptive blurb
5. Ensuring appropriate copyright information is included with entry
6. Migrating and tagging images into the new Drupal CMS platform

Deliverables
• CGAP’s 2012 Photo Contest is implemented
• CGAP’s Online Photo Repository is implemented
• All images for the new CGAP.org are repurposed and migrated

Necessary Skills and Experience 
• Bachelor’s Degree on communications or related field with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, in photography and/or graphic design.
• Previous experience in working organizing photo files.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator. FinalCut Pro will be a plus.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Good work ethic and self-starting attitude, and ability to work well among a team of professionals.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
• Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills; demonstrated client orientation.
• Ability to work capably under stress and to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Ownership/Control of Work Product/Publication
All materials produced or acquired during the appointment – written, graphic, film, digital audio/video or otherwise – shall remain the property of CGAP unless such rights are explicitly relinquished by CGAP, in writing. CGAP furthermore retains the exclusive right to publish or disseminate in all languages reports arising from such materials.

In the event of early termination of the appointment or non-renewal upon its expiration, the Consultant shall, if requested by CGAP, deliver to it copies of all materials and data developed with CGAP funds.

Any material developed by the Consultant under these TORs may not be used without written prior approval by CGAP the Task Manager.

Authorship and Acknowledgement
CGAP staff will generally be listed as the authors of any publication or other communication that is produced as a result of the research conducted during the appointment. The Consultant’s contribution in conducting this research will be acknowledged in any such publication. If, in the reasonable view of the Task Manager, the Consultant contributes significantly to the conceptualization and drafting of any documents created, the Consultant will be listed as co-author, along with the relevant CGAP staff.
