Education Adviser (£36,995

Education Adviser (£36,995 – £41,106)

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing high quality education programming for our ‘Building Skills for Life’ programme, which focuses on empowering adolescent girls, as well as providing technical leadership with Plan UK on global education issues. You’ll have an overview of our education-related projects, and will also identify priorities for further project development, working with other thematic managers.

The Education Adviser will also provide support to Country Offices and fundraising teams, making sure that technical considerations are addressed in the project design and budgeting. You will also be the external representative for Plan’s education activities, which will include networking, writing publications and making sure our advocacy and campaigns work is aligned with the education programmes.

You’ll need to have experience implementing or advising on quality education programmes in developing countries, particularly with a gender focus. We’re looking for someone with specialist and current knowledge of best practice in education programming, who can apply gender analysis and communicate specialist issues to non-specialist audiences. You should have experience of delivering project proposals and reports from start to finish, and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
