Global Campaign Manager – Rights in Crisis
£Competitive
Oxford with international travel

In times of natural disaster and conflict the poorest are hit hardest. That’s why, at Oxfam, we work for the safety and dignity of all, supporting people as they rebuild their lives and stand up for their rights. We work with people far beyond their hour of need. Join us.

The role

In this hugely influential position, you’ll work at a local, national and global level to lead, shape and execute our flagship Rights in Crisis (RiC) campaign, bringing it to life for everyone. You’ll take charge, both directly and indirectly, of a team of campaigners and advocates, lead the planning and decision-making process and see to it that we make the most of new and emerging channels and maximise all opportunities for positive change. You’ll also head the cross-functional team and develop and deliver the full range of campaigning and advocacy approaches. As a member of the Oxfam International Campaign Management Team, you’ll influence public campaigning right across the confederation. Travelling widely for up to four months a year, it’s a demanding role. But, everything you do will be geared towards making the public sit up, take notice and take action.

What we’re looking for

A tried-and-tested leader, you’ll have proven your talent for driving high-profile public-facing campaigns on a global scale. You’ll understand human rights, be confident managing budgets and donor contracts, and have what it takes to analyse complex situations and develop creative campaigns and build movements for change. You’ll also know how to build capacity and empower civil society particularly in the developing world. Expert judgement and a well-developed understanding of emergencies and conflicts – particularly in the global South – are essential. As is the ability to engage stakeholders, partner organisations, the media and most importantly, audiences around the world.

About Oxfam

A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
